I'm not sure. The OCSO hasn't said anything. I took a flyover recently to look at the 20+ camps. Skip, we're working on this issue. I've called a Sunshine meeting with Commissioner Edwards and Martinez in the next few weeks to discuss. And I speak with staff weekly asking why we have resolved.

Hi Jennifer, thank you for your service! I have had a number of the homeless ask me about the helicopters that have been flying over and sometimes hovering the homeless camp sites on the east side. Is there some kind of study going on? If it is going to benefit the homeless in some way and if I can help you just let me know. Thanks! Pastor Skip Fengfish, The Light Ministries / Word on the Street Homeless Ministries. www.facebook.com/wots4homeless

Cathy,
I do not recall a barrier being part of the plan. I will pull up the plans this week and see what's in the budget. I will find out about the noise asap.

I understand that the lighting and landscaping is on hold, but what about a barrier between the roadway and the homes that line it? The temporary north side roadway is awful close to our homes! Also, the pump or compressor that runs day and night sometimes is very loud. Is there some way to muffle that noise?

Natali,
I'm just now seeing this post. We recently had new striping and reflectors added to the road specifically to address this issue. I've noticed a difference when driving the road but would be very interested in your feedback?

I am asking for some help with Pit Bulls running loose in my neighborhood. There is a pair of Pit Bulls that get out of their fenced in back yard all of the time buy tearing open the fence. I live next door to these animals and they have almost destroyed my fence in an
effort to get into my yard. The animal control has been called several times about these
dogs running loose but they do nothing. Well last evening they approched my wife and
I feel it is time something is done. The address is 4228 Kezar court Belle Isle,Fl.32812
Please give me a response to let us know what can be done.
Thanks

I just want to comment on the blog I read in regards to the Alafaya widening project and how its affecting Stoneybrook's entrance. I would like to bring attention to how dangerous it's become for Stone Forest residents (right in front of Stoneybrook) to get out of our residence everyday. It is more dangerous from our side since we have traffic on both sides of the road. We would like something to be done in regards to these area, might a traffic light be something we could add here?

We covered Rybolt last night. Also my small group is supporting your drive for books through the Orlando Rescue Mission, but should help you as this is a District 4 project. Got backpack and paper ready to go.

Tim,
My vote in favor of both motions to rescind were based upon my belief that both original hearings were not fair and transparent (you can watch them for yourself if you have an extra 10+ hours to spare). A vote in favor of a motion to rescind does not mean that I support these projects. It simply means that I believe that everybody should receive a fair and transparent hearing from the BCC.

Regarding you comment about Alafaya Trail, I cannot believe you would even say and/or think that. I have been one of the biggest and vocal supporters of Alafaya Trail and am continuing to work on the landscaping and lighting projects for the widening. However, I am not willing to delay the construction during this fight. If taxpayers in our neighborhoods want to get together and pay into an MSBU to pay for the ongoing maintenance, then we can get them done now. If not, I've got to try and get them into a future budget when more revenue is flowing. We just approved a tentative balanced budget without raising taxes or making any significant cuts to services to services. This would not have been the case if we had added new projects with new O&M.

Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be voting for me again.
